Sheree,
Thank you for sharing your testimony, your journey, and your experience. I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease in 2016 and have been in and out of depressed states since then. I had a stretch where I was using the bathroom between 15-20 times a day and couldn't even do something as simple as going to the grocery stores or laying down on the couch because It was incite a bowel movement. I also resonate with what you said about not sharing things with people, and people feeling like you are/were "over-reacting". My condition which is a form of IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease) is internal not external so I felt people couldn't understand how bad what I was going through was. I looked fine on the outside but on the inside my intestine were on fire! Several people would even joke about my condition and makes jokes about using the restroom or make comments when I lost 40 lbs during the process. Many of my friends did not come to visit me in the hospital when I was hospitalized for two weeks.
I am so proud of you and the strength you have mustered to tell your story and share your hardship. Not only can you empower others with this story but I think you can also shed light to many people who love you and don't or didn't know what you have been going through. This helps them to be more mindful of how to treat people and the potential of them going through something similar. I love you ❤️ and look forward to the rest of this series.
